Everything is not what it seems.

I haven't been so great at keeping up with this blog lately, and I'm very much disappointed in myself for not having the discipline to write everyday.
I also envy the days of my much troublesome insomnia, for I felt that I wrote much better and more vigorously, but the sleep feels so good now.
In any case, I'm going to keep on trying to write, because while handing a package of frozen shrimp to an elderly Filipino woman, her toothy smile and wisdom filled lines folding from her eyes reminded me of just how much I appreciated my heritage. Not only that, but it was that simple image that reminded me of just how much I loved stories: telling them, writing them, hearing them.

Anyways, my window screen is not in the window, my socks are out of the hamper, my picture frame across the room isn't straight, my books are on the floor, and I'm extremely behind on school work.
Things are awkward and off-kilter right now, but according to my horoscope, things are supposed to return to decency on the 11th.

"'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe."
